Lucite International wins INSPIRE Award, 200816 Dec 2008Memphis, TN, USALucite International (LI) was announced as winner of the 2008 Association of Pool & Spa Professionals’ (APSP) INSPIRE Award at a glittering ceremony in Las Vegas. The award was presented by Steve Gorlin, Chairman of the Hot Tub Council, who praised LI for its commitment to innovation and the industry as a whole. Established in 2003, the INSPIRE Award acknowledges a company’s overall contribution to the hot tub segment of the recreational water industry, embodying a spirit of pride, dedication and service. The recipient of the award is a company that encourages employee involvement in all areas of the industry. Steve said: “LI has supported the APSP since the mid 1980s, not only as an active member, but also by sitting on the Hot Tub Council since 1988. They are dedicated to achieving the highest standards in the areas of safety, health and the environment, as well as in their research and development. They have also supported the Hot Tub Industry Growth Initiative with both time and money. “Over the years, LI’s people have volunteered countless hours towards the growth and expansion of our industry. Utilising a multi-faceted marketing campaign, the Company has worked to reinvigorate consumer communications since 1992. Through national advertising, television and radio appearances, video news releases, and in store promotions, LI has made promoting the benefits of hot tubs a top priority in their business. In addition, they continue to conduct groundbreaking consumer research, which is willingly shared with partners, and ultimately, the industry at large. “Tonight we honour LI, as the 2008 INSPIRE Award winner. Their contribution to the industry is an example to all of us. The Hot Tub Council looks forward to continuing our work together in the challenging times ahead. It is with great hope that collectively, our efforts will advance the entire industry.”
